One Billr. Two ways to run it.
Subscribe to the hosted service, or run the same invoicing workspace and MCP server on infrastructure you control.
Billr hosted
Create an account and connect your agent. We operate the application and database. Your own Stripe connection is optional; you can record payments received elsewhere.
Get started →Billr self-hosted
Run the application, MCP server, and your own Supabase backend. You manage your data, configuration, backups and updates. No hosted Billr account is required.
Source and install steps on GitHub →What runs independently?
Clients, invoices, estimates, time, expenses, reports and agent tools run against your database. Your agent connects to your installation’s /api/mcp endpoint. The self-hosted package contains no hosted database or payment credentials.
Are Stripe and email required?
No. Create documents and record external payments without Stripe. Add your own Stripe Connect configuration for online collection, and your own email provider configuration for sending invoices. Email authentication also needs your Supabase mail settings for a production installation.
Can I run it only on my computer?
A local development setup is included. Public invoice links, remote agents and payment webhooks need an installation reachable over HTTPS. The local development database is not a production deployment.
